Which wig looks the most natural?

Are you worried about how to find the right wig for you?

There are bound to be many questions when buying your first wig. It's all understandable! But don't worry!
Here are some thoughts and tricks to make the decision easier.

1. First the cut!

Start with the cut of wig you want.

Usually, our clients choose a cut that they are already familiar with and that they are used to wearing without a wig. In this way, it is most certain that a person will get used to the wig faster. If you are a long-term wig wearer, you can choose more in terms of changes later on.

You can choose from short wigs to long, curly and bob cut wigs.

2. Wig size

Although medium sized wigs suit 95% of our customers, you will find large and small wigs in our selection.

Also, the wigs have adjustable straps that allow the size to be pulled a little closer or wider, ensuring a secure fit.

How to find the right size for you can be found here !

3. Wig material

If you are considering which wig to choose for your first purchase, you should first decide what material you want to wear.

There are synthetic fiber and natural hair wigs available. Certainly, you may have biases against both materials. It is true that both have their pros and cons.

You can heat your natural hair and add some curls for a change. When buying a natural hair wig, you have to take into account the significantly higher price range and remember that the hair is natural and you have to style it after every wash, just like your own hair!

When buying a synthetic wig, there is no need to worry about setting it, and the wig takes its shape again after washing. Although the difference in material is big, there are customers who only want to wear natural wigs - which is also understandable, because the look can really be much more natural.

But don't be fooled, synthetic hair looks really good these days!

Wig construction

Monofilament wigs - hand knotted wigs

Monofilament wigs have two main plus points - naturalness and versatility. Monofilament wigs use clear polyester or soft nylon mesh on the top and crown area to allow your skin color to show through and create a natural scalp look.

There are three types of monofilament wigs:
MONOFILAMENT TOP The hand knotted part is a whole top
MONOFILAMENT PART The hand-knotted part is only at the parting of the hair MONOFILAMENT CROWN The hand-knotted part is at the top of the crown of the head, hair swirl
This type of wig construction is related to the specific area of the base of the wig where the transparent mesh part is located. The hair is individually tied by hand to a piece of material to mimic the natural movement of the hair. This design also allows for multi-directional styling and mimics that all-important natural hair growth. The lightweight material used in monofilament wigs gives the scalp a softer feel and cools all day. Monofilament wigs are ideal for women with sensitive scalps as the breathable fabric is less irritating than a cloth cover. Advantages: Versatile styling options with multidirectional natural hair movement from the scalp.

Lightweight material that is cooling and comfortable.

Double monofilament wigs are also available, offering even more protection for women with sensitive scalps. Cons: More expensive than other types of wigs.

Hand-tied knots can irritate some scalps - but don't forget that double monofilament wigs are always a great alternative for sensitive scalps, and special wig caps made of good material can be used under the wig
Lace Front, natural hairline wigs

Lace Front wigs are one of the most natural looking wig base designs. An unnoticeable see-through front to your wig creates a natural-looking hairline. Its airy front also allows you to style your hair away from your face without worrying about the edge of the wig being visible. This type of wig construction is ideal for women with frontal hair loss as the invisible fringe gives you the confidence to style your wig exactly how you want it.

PROS
Creates the illusion of a natural hairline

A convincing, realistic appearance thanks to a hand-built, undetectable hairline.
MINUSES
Not the most budget friendly

The transparent lace at the front must be handled with care when putting on and taking off the wig.
